Ever since she took her first class, ceramics has been Lynn’s passion. She loves forming, shaping, and texturing a piece as it rises from a single lump of clay, then exploring the many options for finishing it: glazing and high firing, raku, fuming, painting with colored smoke, horse hair, or foil saggar. At the end, opening the kiln is as exciting to her as Christmas, every time. Recently, she has found a new creative endeavor in hand making colorful women’s handbags from repurposed materials. Lynn is an accomplished ceramicist who has won numerous honors in ceramic competitions and was a featured artist in the commercial gallery of the American Museum of Ceramic Art.
